Reno Nevada Stake Conference
Dear Brothers and Sisters of the Reno Nevada Stake:
We are pleased to announce the upcoming Reno Nevada Stake Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Stake Conference provides us with an opportunity to receive personal revelation as our stake leaders and members share messages about the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our theme for this conference will focus on coming unto Christ by taking up our crosses and following Him. JST Matthew 16:25-29.
In preparation for conference, we have designated September 14 through 22 as stake temple dates and hope you will be able to use those days to “spend more time in the temple” as our prophet, President Russel M. Nelson, has encouraged us to do.
The Leadership Session will be on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for the following participants: stake presidency, high council, bishoprics, stake and ward executive secretaries and clerks, and all adult stake and ward priesthood and organization presidencies including secretaries.
We invite all members 18 years and older to attend the Adult Session also on Saturday, September 23, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. We encourage all who attend this session to prayerfully read and ponder the following messages from our living prophet and come prepared to share a brief testimony: Overcome the World and Find Rest (October 2022); The Book of Mormon: What Would Your Life be Like Without It? (October 2017); and Revelation for the Church, Revelation for Our Lives(April 2018). Additionally, we ask that you come prepared to share your experiences with studying, emphasizing and sharing the Book of Mormon.
The General Session for all individuals, families and friends will be on Sunday, September 24, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
All sessions will be held at the Stake Center at 1095 Golconda Drive. Members are invited to be seated 10 minutes before each meeting starts. We encourage all to attend and to listen to, study and apply the counsel and direction given, and most importantly to follow the personal revelation you receive.
Sincerely,
Ryan E. Dobbs
