Our “Turn Your Heart” challenge for April is to learn how to use “Get Involved” on FamilySearch. The link to “Get Involved” on the desktop is found on the main toolbar to the right of the green FamilySearch logo. You can also download the FamilySearch Get Involved app to your phone.
The main project available right now is Name Review where volunteers verify names identified by AI. It is a fairly simple process. A record opens with a highlighted name. You have the option to answer yes, edit, unsure or not a person. You probably need to be able to read cursive writing, all the records I have seen are in cursive. There are tutorials to help you get started.
Currently 16 people in our stake have tried Name Review. It would be great to see that number surge. There was a challenge at Rootstech for volunteers to review 500,000 names…over 1,000,000 were reviewed!
