Gift Baskets for Foster Parent Appreciation Day April 27th
We delivered some blankets from our stake to the Washoe County Foster Care program last month. The staff was very appreciative. We learned about their Foster Parent Appreciation Day to be held Saturday April 27th and volunteered to donate some gift baskets for their event. This would be a great activity for several families to do together, a Sunday school class, a youth class, or with a friend or neighbor to defray the cost. Below is a list of ideas for the gift baskets from the Foster Care staff:
- Food basket – can fill with pasta and sauces or types of food the family can cook together.
- Date night basket – whatever you think would be fun for a couple needing a night out! (Possibly a gift card to eat out)
- Family movie night basket – could be for an at home movie night or snacks and gift cards for going to the movies
- Family game night basket – could be snacks, puzzles and board games
- Crafting basket – this could be for all ages. Our little kids and our teens love making and creating.
- Spa basket – could be a gift card for a manicure or pedicure or a home spa kit with stuff for manicures or pedicures or bath type stuff or at home facials.
Gift baskets need to be delivered to Janice Rock (775-848-4282) or Shawn Chamberlain (775-742-6581) by Thursday April 25th so they can be delivered Friday April 26th.
